Green provides for more than 524 acres of protected parkland in 10 city parks. Southgate Park - 5300 Massillon Road - 205 Acres
Located off Massillon Road in Boettler Park, this park serves as Green’s first nature preserve. Five lakes, rolling meadows, woodlands, pine forest, marshes, and 5 miles of trail make up the 205 acres. Abundant wildlife can be seen from almost any vantage point. Fishing is permitted with a valid state of Ohio ODNR issued permit. All fish caught are to be released immediately. Historical structures dot the southern end of the park with an 1880’s farmhouse and bank barn. Also located in the park is a historical cemetery dating back to the early 1880’s. A 16,000 square foot home is the centerpiece attraction to the property. Boettler Park - 5300 Massillon Road - 62.5 Acres Boettler Park is Green’s first recreational park.
