There are several major engineering projects this construction season.
This is a two-year project, which will begin this year. In 2009, several buildings near the SR619/Arlington Road intersection will be demolished to prepare the area for reconstruction and widening in 2010. This project is receiving 80% Federal funds. For up-to-date information on this project, visit the Arlington Road project webpage.
A sanitary sewer improvement project along Massillon Road between Stake Drive and Wise Road began April 22 and is expected to take approximately 90 days to complete. For more information about the project, click here.
Project Update #2
The contractor has progressed beyond Tricaso and will begin restoration where work started. Over the next few weeks, the contractor anticipates completing work up to Don Ponchos. In order to complete the project, next month the contractor will need to shut down Wise Road for several days.

Project Update #3
Wise Road at Massillon Road will be closed Friday July 23 from 8 AM to 7 PM and again on Monday, July 26 at 8 AM through Tuesday, July 27 at 7 PM. The closure is due to sewer work being undertaken in the area.
With the Ohio Department of Transportation as project manager, the milling of Massillon Road has begun. Over the next few weeks, repairs and repaving will be completed to the following segments of Massillon Road: from the northern City limits south to Graybill Road; from Green's southern corporate boundary north to Koons Road; and Stake Drive (just south of Greensburg Road) to Wise Road.
The City of Green's contactor will be closing Koons Road to replace a culvert. Please click here to see a detour map.
This multi-year project is expected to be completed by 2011. This year design plans will be finalized. Currently, the City is conducting a study to determine if a roundabout is the best option for this intersection.
