Jim is serving his third term - second Full term as Ward 1 Councilperson. As a resident of Green for more than a decade, Jim is a graduate of Green High School and a student at Kent State University. In addition to representing the residents of Ward One he also works as a Building Analyst for the Green Building Pros. Jim is Council Pro-tem and Chair of the Intergovernment & Utilities Committee, Vice Chair of Rules and Personnel and also serves as a member of the Public Safety Committee.

This will be Dave's fifteenth year on Council, serving Ward 2. He served as President of Council two years and has served on every committee over those fifteen years. Dave enjoys being involved in City Council and is anxious to put his experience and leadership to work once again for residents of Green. Dave is a 55 year resident of Green and is a retired firefighter/paramedic from the City of Cuyahoga Falls. He is married to wife, Gail, who recently retired from Bridgestone. On Council, Dave serves as the Chair of the Transportation, Connectivity & Storm Water Committee, Vice Chair of the Planning, Community & Economic Development Committee and also serves as a member of the Finance Committee.

Ken Knodel was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Ward 3 Councilperson as of December 27, 2011. A 35+ year resident of Green, he has experience as a small business owner and currently works as an Administrator in the Summit County, Department of Community and Economic Development. Ken is the Chairman of Public Safety Committee, Vice Chair of Intergovernment and Utilities and serves on the Transportation Connectivity & Storm Water Committee.

Skip is currently serving his first term as Ward 4 Councilperson. Skip was raised in Bath, Ohio and has been a resident of Green since 2005. He is the president of Regency, Inc., an office furniture company. Skip holds a bachelor's of business administration-finance degree from the University of Akron. He is married to Susan and they have five children and three grandchildren. On Council, Skip serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee, Vice Chair of the Transportation, Connectivity & Storm Water Committee, and a member of the Environment & Parks Committee. Skip is currently the Vice President of Council.

Joel previously served as Council representative in Ward 2, from 2002-2005. A 1988 graduate from Green High School, Joel has lived in Green for over 20 years, and now resides on Aylesford Road with his wife Rebecca and daughters Corinne and Allison. Joel is self employed as an attorney, with an office in Tallmadge. Joel is the chairman of the Rules and Personnel Committee, Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee, and a member of the Intergovernment & Utilities Committee. Joel is the Council President.

Chris Humphrey is serving his first term as an at-large City Council member. Chris is a shareholder in the law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs where he serves as Vice-President, Treasurer, and he is a member of the board of directors. Chris also leads the litigation practice group. Chris earned his Bachelor's degree in public speaking in 1988, a Master's of Theological Studies in 1990 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1993. Chris and his wife Connie have three children: Josh, Ben and Sarah Grace. Chris also serves as an elder and an adult bible fellowship teacher at Maranatha Bible Church. He is the chair of the Environment & Parks Committee, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, and a member of the Planning, Community & Economic Development Committee.

Gerard Neugebauer is serving his first term as an At-Large member of Council after serving for ten years on other city boards and commissions. Gerard grew up in Firestone Park in Akron and moved to Green to start his family in 1987. He attended the University of Akron and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He is an Engineering Projects Manager for Environmental Design Group in Akron. Gerard and his wife Maria have three children; Patrick, Stephen and Rachel. He is the chair of the Planning, Community & Economic Development Committee, Vice Chair of the Environment & Parks Committee, and a member of the Rules and Personnel Committee.
Clerk of Council
Council appoints the Clerk of Council, subject to the qualifications for a Council Member at-large pursuant to the Charter, and serves at the pleasure of Council. The Clerk of Council shall keep the Journal of Council, an accurate and complete record of all proceedings of Council (authenticated by the Clerk's signature), have custody of all laws, ordinances, and resolutions of Council, have custody of all official documents, reports, papers, and files of Council, and performs other such duties as required by Council.
Molly Stevens, MMC
Clerk of Council
Molly has worked for the City of Green since 1993, first as the Law Director's Secretary and now as the Clerk of Council. Molly has an associate's degree in Office Administration Technology from Stark Technical College and is a licensed Notary. In July 2008 Molly became one of only 25 clerks in the State of Ohio to become a Master Municipal Clerk. She is an active member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerk's Association, the Tri-County Clerk's Association and the Ohio Municipal Clerk's Association, co-chairing the Spring Institute and an acting board member.
