Jim is serving his third term as Ward 1 Councilperson. He originally was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mary Taylor.  He has been a resident of Green for more than a decade. Jim is a graduate of Green High School and a student at Kent State University. In addition to representing the residents of Ward One he also works as a Rehab Inspector for the Summit County Executive Russ Pry in the Department of Develpment.  Jim is the Chair of the Planning, Community and Economic Development Committee, Vice Chair of Transportation, Connectivity and Stormwater Committee and also serves as a member of the Rules and Personnel Committee.

After being the first council member to term limit out, Dave is back in Ward 2. Dave enjoys being involved in City Council and is anxious to put his experience and leadership to work once again for residents of Green. Dave is a 46 year resident of Green and is a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Cuyahoga Falls. He is married to wife, Gail, and has two children, Jeff and Kelly. On Council, Dave serves as the Chair of the Transportation, Connectivity & Storm Water Committee,  Vice Chair of the Environment & Parks Committee and also serves on the Intergovernment and Utilities Committee.

Serving his first four-year term as Councilperson for Ward 3, Anthony grew up in Akron, is an owner and vice president of DeVitis & Sons, Inc., a family-owned Italian specialty food store located in North Hill.  Anthony is an 18- year resident of Green, with his wife Kathleen and thier two children Evelyn and Clark.  On Council, Anthony serves as the Chair of the Parks and Environment Committee, Vice Chair of the Intergovernment and Utilities Committee and also serves on the Transportation, Connectivity & Storm Water Committee.

Skip is currently serving his first term as Ward 4 Councilperson.  Skip was raised in Bath, Ohio and has been a resident of Green since 2005.   He is the president of Regency, Inc., an office furniture company.   Skip holds a bachelor's of business administration-finance degree from the University of Akron.  He is married to Susan and they have five children and three grandchildren. On Council, Skip serves as the Chair of the Public Safety Committee, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee and also serves on the Parks and Environment Committee.

Joel previously served as Council representative in Ward 2, from 2002-2005. A 1988 graduate from Green High School, Joel has lived in Green for over 20 years, and now resides on Aylesford Road with his wife Rebecca and daughters Corinne and Allison. Joel is self employed as an attorney, with offices in Akron and Mogadore. Joel is the chairman of the  Finance Committee, Vice Chair of Rules and Personnel and also serves as a member of the Public Safety Committee.  Joel is the Council President Pro Tem for his second time.

Bruce is serving his second 4 year term as an At-Large member of Council. He has lived in Green for over 10 years, is married and has two children. Bruce is a graduate of Jackson High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Akron. Bruce serves as chair of the Rules and Personnel Committee, Vice Chair of Planning, Community and Economic Development Committeeand also serves on the Finance Committee.  Bruce is currently serving his second term as the President of Council.

Serving her second 4 year term as an At-Large member of Council, Lynda is a long-time Green resident. She is a graduate of Akron St. Vincent's High School and received both her Bachelor & Master's degrees from The University of Akron. She is a former special education teacher currently working in sales and management. Lynda is the Chair for the Intergovernment and Utilities Committee, Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee and also serves as a member of the Planning, Community and Economic Development Committee.  Lynda is currently serving her second term as the Vice President of Council. 

Clerk of Council
Council appoints the Clerk of Council, subject to the qualifications for a Council Member at-large pursuant to the Charter, and serves at the pleasure of Council. The Clerk of Council shall keep the Journal of Council, an accurate and complete record of all proceedings of Council (authenticated by the Clerk's signature), have custody of all laws, ordinances, and resolutions of Council, have custody of all official documents, reports, papers, and files of Council, and performs other such duties as required by Council.


Molly Stevens, MMC
Clerk of Council

Molly has worked for the City of Green since 1993, first as the Law Director's Secretary and now as the Clerk of Council. Molly has an associate's degree in Office Administration Technology from Stark Technical College and is a licensed Notary. In July 2008 Molly became one of only 25 clerks in the State of Ohio to become a Master Municipal Clerk. She is an active member of the Ohio Municipal Clerk's Association, chairing the Spring Conference Committee, the International Institute of Municipal Clerk's Association and also a member of the  Tri-County Clerk's Association.
