Monday, May 28, 2012 - Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The City of Green will be having it's annual Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony, Pancake Breakfast, and Car Show will take place on Monday, May 28, 2012. Parade kick-off is at 10:00 a.m. from the Green High School parking lot.

Green Fire will hold a pancake breakfast beginning at 7:00 a.m. at Fire Station #1 (the corner of Massillon and Steese Roads); donations only to benefit a worthwhile charity.

A picnic lunch will be offered. Please click here for the parade information and traffic pattern to enter the parade site. The Memorial Ceremony details to be announced.

Please note: Massillon Road now has two Emergency Rooms. If there is an emergency during the parade, the parade will stop (just as if you were in a vehicle) to allow the emergency vehicle to arrive at the designated emergency room. The emergency vehicle or passenger car will be escorted to the emergency room via Summit County Sheriff cruiser.

We are asking all spectators that may sit along Massillon Road to sit on the west side of the road. The parade will travel along the south bound lanes only.

Saturday, June 23, 2012 - FreedomFest

The City of Green’s FreedomFest 2012 will take place at Boettler Park and commemorate the City of Green's 20 year anniversary. Some activities and events that will take place include:
Beer & Wine Garden
Live Entertainment that will feature Juke Box Heros, Escape (a Journey tribute band), and The Farm (an up and coming country band)
Food
Family Activities such as:
- EuroBungy/Rock Wall
- Indie Kart Racing
- Laser Tag
- Winchester Total Recoil
- Zip Line
- Extreme Trampoline
- 9-Hole Putter Course
- Inflatables and much, much more!

The Green Family 5K Fun Run is Friday, June 22, 2012 at Boettler and Southgate Parks.  Details coming soon.
