Green, OH – The City of Green is hosting a fun, family evening with a cookout, movie-in-the-park and campout at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, on August 8. The evening begins with a potluck cookout for those camping through the night, followed by the showing of the movie Big Hero Six under the stars, and an overnight campout in Boettler Park. The movie is open to all who wish to attend.
Families interested in camping out for the night may begin setting up at 5 p.m. and must be packed up by 9 a.m. on Sunday morning, August 9. This is the only day in the year that camping is permitted at Boettler Park. An adult must be present to camp. Registration is required to camp out. For those camping, a cookout will be provided at 6:30 p.m. including hotdogs, chips, and soft drinks, and marshmallows. Each family attending is asked to bring a covered dish to share. Following the cookout there will be a campfire with marshmallows provided. The campout and cookout are FREE to attend, but registration is required.
The movie, Big Hero Six, will begin at dusk or approximately 8:30 p.m. If you are only attending the movie, registration is not required.
