Cities Without Drugs is a proven program, created by the National Office of Drug Control Policy, to assist communities in reducing substance abuse.  This is the program that Green's Drug Task Force is following.  See the complete Cities Without Drug Progam Guide.

Prescription drug disposal. The Summit County Sheriff Training Center, 2825 Greensburg Road, is a prescription drug drop-off location.  Drugs may be dropped off between 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday for proper disposal.

Ongoing efforts of the Task Force

  • Commitee members.  List of volunteers and contact information.
  • Green High School and PLCC students are competing in a Cities Without Drugs Green Task Force logo contest.  Entries will be submitted by November 5th.  Winning logo/student will be announced and revealed at the Hidden in Plain Sight program.
  • Operation Street-smart will be held Monday, May 8 at the Summit County Sheriff Training Center on Greensburg Road.  Time TBD.  This program is presented by the Franklin County Sheriff Department and funding has been made available for Summit County.
  • Green TV will be producing a variety of programs to help support the education initatives of the task force.

ADULTS ONLY, no children permitted.

Neighborhood "Ward" Meetings
November 14 (Ward 1), December 14 (Ward 2), January 14 (Ward 3) and February 15 (Ward 4) -- residents of all Wards are invited to attend any meeting.  Ward specific stats and info will be shared on these meeting dates.
