City to Host a Free Rain Barrel Workshop for Residents on March 10

City of Green Hosting a Free Rain Barrel Workshop as Part of its New Living Green Lecture Series

 

Green, OH - The City of Green is partnering with Hoffman's Garden Center and the Green Branch Library to host a free rain barrel workshop on Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Boulevard. 

The workshop, geared to homeowners, will be presented by Bill Hoffman, of Hoffman's Garden Center.   The seminar/workshop will share the many benefits of rain barrels as well as demonstrate how to install one yourself. 

Registration is required for this seminar by calling 330-896-6621 or online at www.cityofgreen.org.   The first five individuals to register will receive a free rain barrel and the next 20 will receive a $50 voucher off a rain barrel at Hoffman's Garden Center.   Must be a City of Green resident to receive a free rain barrel or voucher.

"This is the first of our Living Green quarterly seminar series," said Sarah Haring, community development administrator.  "We are looking forward to offering seminars like this one that teach our residents about living a more sustainable lifestyle."
