City of Green, Area businesses are Collection Points for School Supplies for Green Good Neighbors Annual Back-to-School Drive
Green, OH – The City of Green and other area businesses and organizations are serving as collection points for the annual Green Good Neighbors Back-to School school supply drive.
“Last year, we collected donations of school supplies for Green Good Neighbors during our annual FreedomFest event in June, but with the cancellation of the event this year due to weather, we decided to set up donation drop off spots to help Green Good Neighbors collect the new school supplies they need to help kids in our community,” said Kim Goodhart, special events coordinator for the City of Green.
New school supplies may be dropped off at the City of Green’s Central Administration Building, Green Branch Library, Kids Country, Kids Play and the Green YMCA through August 7 during business hours. A collection box will also be available at the City of Green’s weekly Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. next to the Central Administration Building.
All school supplies will be donated to Green Good Neighbors, a local organization that provides clothing, food and household items to those in need in Green and other surrounding southern Summit County communities. Each August, families who are served by Green Good Neighbors receive much needed school supplies for their school aged children.
