City of Green Hosting Several Special Recycling Events for Residents
Green, OH – The City of Green is hosting three special recycling events this summer including a household hazardous waste drop-off on June 1; an electronic waste drop-off on July 20; and a document shredding event on August 10.
On June 1, the City of Green will be accepting hazardous household waste at Green’s Recycle Center, 5383 Massillon Road, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Items will only be accepted from residents of Green. A driver’s license and current utility bill will be accepted as proof of residency. Acceptable items to drop off include: paint/paint products, aerosols, pesticide liquids/solids/aerosols, cleaners, reactives, adhesives/roof tar/driveway sealers, fuels (gasoline, kerosene), automotive products, mercury, propane, helium, Freon, oxygen, and carbon dioxide cylinders, and fluorescent lamps. On July 20, the City of Green will be accepting electronic waste at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Items, such as computers, printers, cable boxes, televisions up to 40”, telephones, keyboards, fax machines, switches and batteries, will only be accepted from residents of Green. On August 10, the City of Green and the Summit Akron Solid Waste Management Authority (SASWMA) is hosting a Document Shredding Day at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A maximum of 10 file boxes or bags will be accepted from each person or business. This event is open to all residents in Summit County.
