art-A-palooza

The eighth annual art-A-palooza, a fine arts festival, is Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Boettler Park pond continuing the tradition of celebrating the arts in Green!  Hours of the event are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and include a wide medium of art, entertainment, A Taste of Green food court, and a children's activity area!

The goal of the art-A-palooza festival is to provide a high quality arts experience as well as scholarship opportunities for our community.

Activities include:

over 60 artist exhibits.

Children's tent with make-and-take art and face painting. 

Live Entertainment throughout the day.

Raffle items.  All proceeds benefit the Green Arts Council scholarship fund.

Children's Chalk Art Contest.  Kids ages 5 to 16 may enter an art contest all their own - the second annual Chalk Art Contest.   From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., kids will decorate they walking path with colorful chalk drawings related to the theme, America the Beautiful.   Chalk will be provided; however, artists are also encouraged to bring their own.  Prizes will be awarded to the best chalk drawings in four age categories.   Preregistration for the chalk contest is required by emailing mkress@cityofgreen.org or calling 330-896-6621.

Food vendors include: The Pierogie Lady, John's Gryo King, Chick-Fil-A, Kellie's Famous Italian Ice, and Buehler's Fresh Foods.
