City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division Offering Archery Classes for 8 to 15 years this Spring
Green, OH – This spring the City of Green Parks and Recreation Division is offering archery classes for children ages 8 to 15 years old.
On Wednesday, March 27, Green Parks and Recreation is offering a one and a half hour Quickstart Archery class for children ages 8 to 15 years old as an introduction to archery to try out the sport before committing to a full session of archery lessons. The class will be held at Southgate Park from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for 8 to 11 year olds and from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 12 to 15 year olds. The cost is $10 per resident and $12 per non-resident. All equipment is provided. Following the Quickstart class, if your child decides to continue on to the full Youth Archery Program, the quick start fee will be applied to the full-program cost.
A four-week Youth Archery Program will be Wednesdays beginning April 3 for 8 to 15 year olds. The hour long class will be held at Southgate Park from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for 8 to 11 year olds and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for 12 to 15 year olds. The program is designed to educate local youths and teens about archery, with an emphasis on safety. Students will learn how to use recurve and compound bows, as well as archery safety, range set-up, and more. The program is co-ed and costs $25 for residents and $30 for each non-residents. All equipment is provided.
